TENUGUI Towel - KASANE-TSURU

A Tenugui towel with cranes flying in the sky. The three-dimensional finish is achieved by using the artisanal technique of layering two layers of dye in the "Shizome" technique. The crane, a symbol of longevity, is an indispensable good-luck charm for celebratory occasions. This piece is a redesign of the cranes found in ukiyoe prints.
